Early life and background
Hrithik Roshan was born in Mumbai in Punjabi family prominent in Bollywood .

College Education – Sydenham College – Graduated in Commerce
Hrithik felt very isolated in his childhood life .He was born with an extra thumb on right hand which led some of his peer groups and friends to avoid him .Moreover, he also stammered since the age of six which also caused him many problems in school as well as daily life .Due to stammering problem , he pretended illness and injury to avoid oral tests .He was supported by daily speech therapy in his childhood life
When he was 20 years old he was diagnosed with Scoliosis ,When a person has scoliosis, their backbone curves to the side.The angle of the curve may be small, large or somewhere in between.Due to which he could not perform dance or stunts
After a year of diagnosis , he decided to become an actor anyway so he took a chance to walk on the beach where he was caught in heavy rain .There he felt no pain in his spine and felt more confident then he was able to increase his pace with no painful effects . Hrithik sees this day as “the turning point of [his] life”

Children – Hrehaan (born in 2006) and Hridhaan (born in 2008)
His grandfather (via Pinky Roshan-Nana) brought him on stage at the age of 6 in the film Aasha,for which he was paid Rs.100.

Prakash’s production – Aas paas(1981)
When he was 12 year old , he appeared in Bhagwaan Dada(1986) as only speaking role for the first time
Roshan assisted his father on four films—

- Karan Arjun (1995)
- Koyla (1997)
While assisting his father on four films , he also worked as floor sweeper and prepared tea for the crew.
Hrithik was originally scheduled to perform his screen debut as lead actor in cancelled film Tara Rum Pum .Instead , he starred in romantic movie Kaho Na Pyar Hai.
With global revenues of ₹620 million (US$9.6 million), Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai became the highest-grossing Indian film of 2000
For the role, Roshan received Best Male Debut and Best Actor Awards at the annual Filmfare Awards, IIFA Awards, and Zee Cine Awards.
He became the first actor to win both Filmfare Best Debut and Best Actor awards the same year
Hrithik in his second release appeared in Fiza and Hrithik’s performance earned him a second nomination for Best Actor at the Filmfare ceremony.
Hrithik next appeared in Mission Kashmir (2000) which addressed the topic of crime and terrorism

Hrithik Roshan emerged again in 2003 with a new bollywood movie playing the character of developmentally young disabled man in Koi Mil Gaya .For that role , he was required to lose 8 kg of body weight.
Koi Mil Gaya was the most popular Bollywood film of the year, earning ₹800 million (US$12 million), and Roshan won both Filmfare Awards for Best Actor
- He actively supports the Dilkhush Special School for mentally challenged children in Mumbai.
- In 2008, donated₹2 million (US$31,000) to the Nanavati Hospital for the treatment of stammering children
